Faith community leaders and Mayor Megan Barry have been discussing ways to improve Nashville and help those in need.
This weekend, the group "Nashville Organizing for Action and Hope" talked about the city's growing inequality problem.
Hundreds gathered at the Temple Church on Sunday.
People talked about what has happened and still needs to happen when it comes to criminal justice and mass incarceration, gentrification, and affordable housing.
Mayor Barry said talking about these issues can help bring change.
"As Nashville grows and changes, a lot of the things that make Nashville special we need to preserve, and that means making sure we address housing concerns and also making sure economic equality is across the community for everybody as well as making sure we're addressing some criminal justice issues,” Mayor Barry said.
The group NOAH said it aims to engage people in political and economic decisions that affect their lives.
