Authorities confirmed a Franklin man was placed behind bars after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and her mother.
The incident happened around 4:25 a.m. Thursday at a home in the Fieldstone Farms subdivision.
According to reports, 20-year-old John Walker allegedly assaulted the two women, ages 21 and 53.
Police said Walker grabbed the mother by her neck and choked her after she attempted to help her daughter who Walker had been assaulting.
Authorities said Walker fled from the scene before officers arrived, but they were able to find him in the subdivision behind the wheel of a vehicle. Officials confirmed he was impaired.
Walker has been charged with domestic assault, aggravated assault, vandalism, and DUI.
He was being held on a $28,000 bond and has been scheduled to appear in court at 1 p.m. on November 17.
