Domestic Incident Turns To Shots Fired

Posted

Police reported shots were fired in a Murfreesboro neighborhood after they were called there for a domestic incident.

Murfreesboro police originally reported there was a barricaded subject, but later determined he had already fled the area.

Officers said the male suspect fired random shots into the air from his garage at the corner of Catawba and Gold Valley Drive.

The wife originally called police as they were fighting.

Several children were inside the home and not harmed during the altercation.

Originally police set up a perimeter but later realized the subject had left the area in a dark-colored Cadillac Escalade.

The woman in the home who initially called police reported that the man was suicidal and may have gone to Wilson County.

The public information officer at the Murfreesboro Police Department said a warrant will be issued for the suspect's arrest. The warrant may be for domestic violence or reckless endangerment.
