Power has been restored to nearly 18,000 people after a tree fell in the Antioch area, Monday morning.
The large tree fell onto Bell Road near Rural Hill Road, knocking out power around 5 a.m.
According to the Nashville Electric Service, some 17,991 were without electricity during the peak of the outage.
Heavy rains over the weekend likely contributed to the downed tree.
Although power has been restored, the fallen tree has caused traffic problems in the area. Drivers were seen turning around on Bell Road in an effort to get around the debris.
