A man was critically injured Tuesday night when a vehicle crashed into a tractor trailer on Interstate 65 South.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. near the Harding Place exit.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the driver of a pickup collided with the back of a semi, which destroyed the front end of the truck.
The crash caused a significant delay on the interstate and backed up traffic for miles. The scene wasn’t fully cleared until nearly midnight.
The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he is said to be in stable condition.
