A driver was injured after hitting a fire truck on Interstate 40 while crews were working a separate crash in Hermitage.
The wreck happened around 11 p.m. Saturday near the Old Hickory Boulevard exit.
Crews were on the scene of a minor crash when the driver ran into the back of the fire truck and spun into another lane, hitting an 18-wheeler.
The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one else was hurt.
