A church in the West End area was damaged overnight after a woman struck a light pole before colliding with the building.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at West End United Methodist Church on West End Avenue.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a woman was traveling down the road when she sideswiped a parked car, and crashed into a light pole before hitting the church.
The impact of the crash also caused the pole to smash through one of the church windows.
The driver was not seriously hurt in the collision.
She was taken to St. Thomas West Hospital with minor injuries.
Her identity was not known.
