A driver has been injured after crashing into a bridge support in Rutherford County.
Authorities said the wreck happened Sunday near mile marker 58 on State Route 840.
The driver, identified as 70-year-old David S. Runions, lost control of his vehicle and left the shoulder of the road, hitting the bridge support.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for his injuries. There was no word on his condition.
Officials said Runions was wearing a seatbelt. He’s been charged with due care.
Neither drugs or alcohol were involved. No further details were released.
