A crash involving a single vehicle killed one person in Rutherford County.
Officials said the wreck happened around 9:28 p.m. Friday on Northwest Broad Street, about half a mile west of State Route 840.
According to reports, the vehicle left the roadway on a downgrade and hit a tree.
The driver was treated at the scene then taken to the emergency room where the victim was pronounced dead.
The driver’s identity has not been released. No further details were available.
