A driver had life-threatening injuries following a crash on Interstate 24.
The wreck happened in the eastbound lanes of the interstate between mile marker 58 and Exit 57A for West Haywood Lane just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
Reports stated the back wheels of a vehicle locked up causing the driver to crash into a rock wall, bounce off, and hit the median then the guardrail.
The driver was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The roadway was closed to eastbound traffic as crews worked at the scene. Westbound drivers were not affected.
The roadway cleared a few hours after the crash happened.
