Police have asked the public’s help in locating the driver of an SUV who allegedly fled the scene of a crash involving a semi on Interstate 65.
The incident happened early Wednesday morning on I-65 South near I-24 East.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the driver swerved in front of the tractor trailer, struck a wall and then collided with the guardrail.
The driver fled the scene and ran into a wooded area near the Raven Hotel.
Officers were searching for him near the intersection of Brick Church Pike and Trinity Lane.
The passenger was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center with injuries. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
The crash has caused a significant delay on I-65.
