A house fire in Rutherford County destroyed a home in the early morning hours on Thanksgiving.
The fire happened around 5:45 a.m. Thursday in Rockvale on Trotters Lane.
Fire officials said the home was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived on the scene.
One person was inside at the time, but authorities confirmed that person made it out uninjured.
Crews said the fire appeared to have started in the garage area before spreading through the home.
"It was fortunate no one was hurt, and everyone got out safely", Rutherford County Fire Chief Larry Farley said.
The American Red Cross was called in to help those who were displaced.
The fire remained under investigation.
