Metro Officer Eric Mumaw has been laid to rest by family and friends.
The funeral service, which began at 10 a.m. Friday, was held at Linworth Baptist Church in Worthington, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus.

Officer Mumaw passed away in the line of duty on the morning of February 2 while trying to save a suicidal woman in the Cumberland River in Nashville.
A memorial service was held Monday afternoon at Cornerstone Church in Madison.
That service included a police escort, which departed from Spring Hill Funeral Home at 7 a.m. and traveled a route spanning from Gallatin Pike to Old Hickory Boulevard.
Chief Steve Anderson and Mayor Megan Barry awarded Officer Mumaw with the Medal of Valor - the department's highest honor - in a private ceremony that morning.
The final radio call for Officer Mumaw aired at 4:43 a.m. Monday on all Metro Nashville Police Department channels.

Officer Mumaw was 44 years old and had served the local community for 18 years.
