There's good news for people headed to the Nashville Farmers’ Market: more parking has been made available.
The additional parking has been available for about a week.
There are 120 new parking spots on 6th and 7th avenues, which means there are now a total of 300 spaces right by the property.
On the weekends, state employee lots are also available to visitors, which adds 1,000 more spaces.
It was a busy weekend at the Farmers’ Market with the "Strawberry Jubilee" on Saturday.
Officials said they hope the extra parking makes trips to the market a little easier.
“That new parking has really helped customers get in and out quickly and also helped our merchants community make sure they have a place to park when they come to retail here,” said Tasha Kennard.
Officials have still recommended that people shop during the week and early on Saturdays for the best parking options. They also added shoppers should allow a little extra time to find a space.
