Authorities said they’ve closed a portion of Farris Drive due to a water main leak.
Thursday afternoon, those with Clarksville Gas and Water said the roadway was closed between Summer Street and Ernest Shelton Drive to repair the leak.
Drivers were being detoured to 8th Street or Summer Street to avoid the work zone.
Officials with the Clarksville Police Department said those living on Farris Drive may experience water loss or low water pressure while crews worked at the scene.
Authorities expected the repair to be finished around 6:30 p.m. when water service would be restored and the roadway would be reopened.
