Murfreesboro Woman Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On I-65

A Murfreesboro woman was killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 65 North in Williamson County. 

The incident happened just after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the I-65/840 split near Peytonsville. 

Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said 42-year-old Stephanie Coleman was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when she struck another vehicle head-on. 

Coleman was killed in the crash, while her 13-year-old passenger was injured. Her relationship to the juvenile was unclear. 

The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 22-year-old Brooks Baker, was also injured. 

Northbound lanes were closed for several hours due to the wreck. 

No charges would be filed in the case.
