Crews were called to a home in Murfreesboro after fire broke out inside a two-car garage.
The incident was reported shortly before midnight Thursday at a home on Battle Avenue.
Officials with the Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department said flames were visible when they arrived on scene.
They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to the home.
The residence was about 30 feet away from the garage.
A portion of the building had apparently been used as workshop. No vehicles were inside the garage but a four wheeler was badly burned.
"Both the outside and inside of the garage were burned pretty good," said Shift Commander Dale Maynard.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
