A Florida teenager, who was traveling through Franklin with his family, has been missing for three days after he reportedly struck out on his own with hiking equipment.
Officials with the Franklin Police Department said 16-year-old Andrew Slingsby was traveling to Ohio with his family when they stopped in Cool Springs on Saturday.

They had apparently stopped at a Buffalo Wild Wings on Mallory Lane for a quick break.
At some point, police said a minor family disagreement broke out, and Slingsby left with his hiking equipment, that included a small tent.
He has not been seen or heard from since.
His parents are concerned and said the incident was “very out of character for him.” They have asked the community’s help with finding Slingsby and bringing him safely home.
He was described as being 6-feet 6-inches tall and weighs 180-pounds. He was last seen wearing a red, white, and black sweater with blue jeans.
If you have any information on his whereabouts, call Franklin Police at (615) 794-2513 or call 911.
