Franklin Police Warn Of Scam To Help Dallas

Officials with the Franklin Police Department released a warning to the public on social media involving a scam.

Police said scam artists were calling asking for donations for the families of the fallen officers in Dallas.

According to authorities, anyone who gets one of these calls should just hang up.

Franklin police have also been working to make sure folks know what to do in an active shooter situation.

They've planned to hold a special Active Shooter Training class at 10 a.m. Monday at the Franklin Police Headquarters.

Parents, teens, employers, school and church leaders have all been encouraged to attend.
