Gabbi's mother reported her missing during a youth football tournament Saturday night -- she was there cheering on her older brother.
Authorities later found her body in a creek behind the school.
Her death has been ruled a homicide, leaving the small Kentucky town on edge.
The past week has been a nightmare for Gabbi’s parents, who spoke with NewsChannel 5 reporter Chris Conte two days after her death.
“She had always run around with her friends to play and I thought she was safe but you never know, you just don't ever know,” said an emotional Amy Doolin. "I want justice for what happened to my baby, she was my baby they took her away and I want justice."
Anyone with information on Gabbi’s murder has been urged to contact Kentucky State Police Post 3 at 270-782-2010.
