Authorities with the Gallatin Police Department have asked for the public’s help finding an armed suspect wanted on multiple active warrants.
Officials said Ronnie Wharton, also known as “Sideways,” has been wanted on charges of evading arrest in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and driving on a revoked license.
According to reports, Wharton allegedly eluded police while driving at an excessive speed Sunday. The incident happened in a heavily populated neighborhood.
Police said Wharton was being considered armed. He has been known for an extensive criminal record.
He was last seen driving a silver Chevy Trailblazer with a Tennessee tag number Z3940P. Wharton has also been known to drive a green Toyota four-door with a Tennessee tag number Z8875T.
With many ties to Sumner and Robertson counties, Wharton has been known to specifically be tied to Springfield.
