The stadium at Vanderbilt University was evacuated due to lightning nearby.
The Commodores game against Middle Tennessee State University was placed under a delay until a severe storm passed through the area. The game resumed around 6:10 p.m. Saturday.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Davidson County around 4:28 p.m. Saturday. It was set to expire at 5 p.m. That warning also included Williamson, Cheatham, and Sumner counties.
Those with Vanderbilt Safety said lightning struck as close as the intersection of West End Avenue and Interstate 440.
If you're at the game, please go into Memorial Gym. Under the concourse is NOT a safe place to be. Get in an enclosed structure.

Those in the stadium were asked to evacuate to Memorial Gym, and they were informed they could get back in with their ticket stub.
