Garth Brooks is throwing a free concert Monday night at Ascend Amphitheater to celebrate a career milestone.
Seven of his albums have sold over 10-million units.
Kevin Triplett, the Commissioner of Tourist Development for the state of Tennessee, said they are teaming up with Brooks for the event.
"We are extremely blessed in this state to have iconic symbols all around the world where people immediately recognize not only our tourism assets but our musical assets and by one name. Elvis and Dolly and now we have Garth, who is a part of that with this milestone," Triplett said.
About 15 businesses in downtown Nashville will be running promotions beginning at 2 p.m. Some of them will be giving away free tickets to the concert.
If you don't have a ticket from the @Tennessee account on Snapchat, screens have been installed in Riverfront Park where fans can watch the concert live.
The concert starts at 7p.m.
