Some residents in Mount Pleasant were allowed to return home after a gas leak was repaired overnight.
Emergency responded to the leak near the area of Cytec on Mt. Joy Road. Officials with the Maury County Fire Department said a major gas line ruptured in the area.
All homes within a one mile radius of the leak were evacuated.
Residents were allowed to go back to bed around 12 a.m. Friday.
