Griffin Technology has announced plans to cut more than 50 jobs at its Nashville headquarters.
Company officials confirmed that 70 workers have been laid off due to “restructuring.”
It’s not immediately known which jobs would be affected by the cuts.
The company manufactures consumer electronics and accessories for mobile devices, among other tech items.
Griffin’s new COO, Carl Hansen, released the following statement:
“With a 23-year history in the tech industry, we recognize it’s necessary to periodically evolve our approach and market strategy in order to succeed in this highly competitive space. To better align our resources with the shifting demands of the marketplace, we recently made the difficult decision to restructure our company. We’re confident that rebuilding today will ensure a solid path to growth in the tech space of the future.”
