The search for a gunman got underway overnight after a man was shot in north Nashville.
The incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. Monday at a public housing unit at 16th Avenue North and Ireland Street.
This was the same location where a woman was shot in the leg two weeks ago.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the victim and the suspect had a physical altercation before he was shot.
From there, the suspect fled in an unknown direction.
An ambulance arrived and took the victim to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury.
No specific suspect description was available.
The investigation remained ongoing.
