An investigation was underway after a man with a gunshot wound walked into a Nashville area gas station.
The incident was reported Monday morning along Murfreesboro Pike.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the victim walked into the Shell Station around 6:40 a.m. after getting shot in the hand. He waited for medics to arrive outside the store.
He claimed he was shot during a robbery in which a suspect demanded money.
According to police, the victim showed up at the same gas station before 3 a.m. to buy beer with a friend, but was asked to leave because he was allegedly too intoxicated.
Detectives said they’re hoping to get surveillance videos from businesses around the area to learn more.
