Harry Potter has gone far beyond books and movies, and now, a new chapter of the "Harry Potter Alliance" has formed in Middle Tennessee.
The Brentwood Library hosted the chapter's first ever get together Saturday with 450 in attendance.
The alliance has formed chapters around the world. They have been made up of fans of all ages who want to help make the world a better place.
"We're trying to harness the love of Harry Potter and use it to help spread the word about different things in the community, so our first initiative is going to be environmental," said Brigid Day.
Brentwood's chapter was calling themselves the "Chamber of Knowledge."
Saturday's party was to celebrate Professor Severus Snape's birthday.
Those with the library said Harry Potter books were some of the most popular items checked out in 2015.
They have planned on having more events in the future, so for anyone who’s interested, visit the library to sign up for email reminders.
