Some high school students in Nashville have been speaking out on hot button topics through theater.
A one act play titled "Flames" has been tackling tough issues like racial tension, police violence, and even drug use.
The University School's theater department performed the play Sunday. The play was written by a graduate of the school.
The actors and the playwright said they hope it starts a discussion about these tough topics.
Those who went to see the play Sunday also had the chance to join in on a panel discussion to talk about some of the topics after the play.
