A fire destroyed a home in North Nashville and left three people homeless.
The fire happened at a home in the 2700 block of Brunswick Drive around midnight, early Christmas morning.
Fire officials said one man smelled smoke in his home, and when he went to his bedroom to investigate, he saw flames.
Two brothers and their sister were able to make it out of the home safely with their two dogs, but authorities said sadly, their cat didn't make it.
Fire investigators said they believe the cause of the fire was electrical and may have started in the bedroom.
The siblings said they were now staying with their parents in a nearby home.
The home was a total loss. Authorities said it suffered a lot of smoke and water damage and would most likely have to be destroyed.
