Westbound lanes of Interstate 24 have reopened in the Whites Creek area after a fatal crash involving a motorcycle.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on I-24 near Old Hickory Boulevard.
The fatal response team was called out to the scene and is working to reconstruct the crash to figure out what happened.
One witness reported seeing the motorcycle traveling at a high-rate of speed before flipping and hitting a guardrail.
After several hours, the roadway reopened around 6:45 a.m.
No additional details were known.
