A woman in Donelson heard glass breaking and thought someone was trying to get inside her home overnight, but it ended up being a fire that engulfed her house.
Firefighters said half of the house on Jade Drive was already engulfed in flames by the time they arrived.
The fire happened before 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Jade Drive.
Part of the roof caved in, and there was a lot of smoke and fire damage inside.
The woman's car was also damaged.
Investigators have been working to determine the cause of the fire.
