Thanks to police in Williamson County, about 150 kids will be sure to get something special under the Christmas tree this year.
Sunday morning, law enforcement officers from all over Williamson County took children to the Franklin Walmart to “Shop with a Cop.”
The Fraternal Order of Police raised about $30,000 from local families and businesses, giving each kid a budget of about $200.
“Santa is coming to Walmart on a Sunday and is helping these great people!” said Carlos Cordero, of the Franklin Police Department.
“The kids get to shop with the cops to let them know there are good cops out here and that they're here to help them,” said Diane Roberts, a shopper.
Clothes were a priority, but kids made sure to pick out some toys on their wish lists, too.
