A Kentucky man has been arrested after Nashville authorities uncovered an alleged murder-for-hire plot.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police tipped off Kentucky deputies after Kevin Gentry allegedly tried to hire a hit man to murder someone.
Details of the alleged plot were not known.
Kentucky State Police officials said the investigation started in Barren County.
Using undercover detectives, authorities arranged a meeting with him.
CBS affiliate WLKY in Louisville has reported that Gentry met the officers at a Kmart in Glasgow.
Gentry was arrested after he allegedly presented cash and provided the victim's information.
The 49-year-old Edmonton man was facing a solicitation of murder charge.
He was being held in Barren County on a $100,000 bond. The case remained under investigation.
