Lebanon Officer Resigns Over Social Media Post

A Lebanon Police officer has resigned after allegedly violating the department’s social media policy.

According to a release, Officers Nikki Hesson and Jesse Lockard were placed on administrative leave, pending an internal investigation. 

Details of the post were not clear at this time. 

Investigators said Hesson resigned at noon Thursday as a result of the incident. Her resignation was accepted by the department.

Lebanon police said in part, “While our department respects the rights of our employees to freedom of speech, all employees of the Lebanon Police Department are held to a higher standard of conduct.”
