A man has been taken into custody following a violent armed robbery and kidnapping in east Nashville.

According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, Justin Perry has been accused of serious crimes involving multiple victims.

Police said he’s been on the run for three months.

On the night of October 15, a man walked up to two people parked on Queen Avenue. The suspect opened their car door, pointed a gun at the victim's face and  demanded his belongings.

Police said the victim pulled out his gun and fired shots at Perry as he got into the getaway vehicle.

Nearly two hours later, Perry and another suspect allegedly robbed someone else at gunpoint.

Perry was accused of getting into the victim's vehicle and forcing that person to drive to an ATM to withdraw cash. The victim was held captive for some time before he was let go later that morning.

Police said Perry and his alleged accomplice ran away after crashing a vehicle that he reportedly stole.

An officer who responded to the scene found his cell phone inside. He was booked into the Davidson County Jail on robbery and kidnapping charges.
