A man accused of firing shots into two cars and crashing his vehicle showed up on a woman's doorstep saying he had been shot.
The crimes happened around 10 p.m. Thursday on 28th Avenue North and Jefferson Street.
Officers said they believe that gunman was in an SUV and fired shots at two vehicles near a gas station.
No one was hit by the gunfire, but a short time later, the suspected gunman crashed his SUV into a car near Interstate 40.
After the gunman crashed, reports stated he took off on foot.
Police said he then allegedly asked for help nearby at a woman's home on Herman Street, saying he himself had been shot.
Detectives said the investigation remained ongoing.
