NASHVILLE, Tenn. — An investigation is underway after a Metro Nashville Police officer fatally shot a man armed with a sword Saturday afternoon.
Officials say the 54-year-old man was holding a woman against her will in his car on Cheshire Drive. The man was outside the vehicle with the sword when the shooting occurred.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation.
