It was a chaotic scene in downtown Nashville as officers responded to reports of a man wielding a gun outside of a gentlemen’s club.
Authorities responded to Deja Vu in the 1200 block of Demonbreun in Nashville overnight in the early morning hours Saturday.
The suspect was reportedly threatening someone with a gun in the parking lot and then walked off. Police added the suspect also allegedly bit someone.
Officers spotted him behind the club, and that's when he took off toward Demonbreun and hopped over the guardrail onto Interstate 40.
A citizen also spotted him and began chasing him on foot onto the interstate. Police said the good Samaritan tackled the suspect on the ramp and held him down until officers got there to arrest the suspect.
Officers said they were still searching for the weapon.
The suspect has been charged with aggravated assault, assault, evading arrest, and pedestrian on the highway.
