A man was placed behind bars after taking off from police twice in Nashville overnight.
Officers said the incident started on Robinson Road at Industrial Drive in Hermitage where the driver was spotted stopped in the middle of the road.
The driver drove off from police twice. They pursued him at low speeds and had to use spike strips to get him to stop.
He was taken into custody near Old Hickory Boulevard and Granwood Boulevard.
Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the incident. Further details were not available as the investigation remained ongoing.
