A man has been charged after allegedly shooting and injuring his girlfriend.
The incident happened Tuesday on Carroll Street.
The victim, identified as 24-year-old Kimberly Sanford, originally told authorities she had been shot by an unknown gunman outside her home when she left to warm up her car.
Domestic Violence detectives have since learned Sanford’s boyfriend, identified as 30-year-old Seth Taylor, allegedly shot her after a dispute. Sanford was fearful to give a full account of what happened, according to reports.
After the shooting, Sanford drove to her downtown restaurant workplace while she was injured.
Taylor has been taken into custody and was being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
