When police went searching for a woman whose family said she hadn’t been seen, they ended up making a drug arrest.
The incident began around 10:30 p.m. Friday at the Econo Lodge in the 3400 block of Percy Priest Drive.
According to reports, a family member had reported they had not seen the daughter in a couple of days and added she was being held against her will.
Officers found the daughter at the hotel where she refuted all of the information from the family.
Inside the hotel, authorities found a man flushing a lot of drugs. That man was taken into custody.
His identity has not been released; however, officials said it’s possible he’s related to a jewelry theft from earlier in the week.
