Man Arrested On I-65 With 18 Pounds Of Marijuana

An officer with the Metro Nashville Police Department who pulled over a car for driving almost 20 miles per hour over the speed limit, ended up finding a lot of marijuana.

According to an affidavit, the officer stopped the driver on Interstate 65 North near the Interstate 24 split.

The officer said he could smell a strong odor of marijuana as he approached the car. He then searched the car and found a marijuana blunt by the gear shift.

The officer placed Sedrick Talley under arrest and searched the car further. That’s when he found a garbage bag containing almost 18 pounds of pot in the trunk.

Talley was facing multiple charges.
