A new development has come to light in an unsolved homicide.
Officials with the Metro Police Department said they've now charged a man in the shooting death of Fredrick Grant.
He was shot and killed in 2012 while sitting in a car near the intersection of Utopia Avenue and Edison Street. The car rolled down the road and struck a utility pole following the shooting.
The man charged was already in prison. He was identified as 33-year-old Teddy Warrick.
Authorities said Warrick has been behind bars for burglarizing a convenience store and trying to steal its ATM.
He has now been facing first degree murder and aggravated robbery charges.
