Police say a Memphis man has been charged with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a pregnant 15-year-old girl.
Authorities say 24-year-old Terry Turner is being held on $200,000 bond in the death of Vianca Harris early Monday.
In an affidavit, Memphis police say a witness told them Turner and Harris were the living room of a house when Turner took a shotgun from a closet and fired one shot at Harris' head.
The affidavit says Turner told police Harris was playing with the gun and he was trying to take it away when it fired.
Police spokeswoman Karen Rudolph says the murder charge applies to Harris' death. Charges are pending as it relates to the unborn child.
Court records do not show if Turner has a lawyer.
