A man has been charged with three counts of attempted homicide after an exchange of gunfire.

Authorities said the incident happened Friday afternoon in the 1000 block of 2nd Avenue South.

Reports stated 24-year-old Tyson Oglesby allegedly knocked on an apartment door, which was answered by 40-year-old Derrick Stafford.

When the two got into an argument, Oglesby allegedly fired, hitting Stafford and two women inside the apartment.

Stafford then returned fire, according to reports, and struck Oglesby.

Authorities said Stafford remained hospitalized on Saturday, but both women had been treated and released.

Oglesby was also treated and released. He was arrested early Saturday.

In a separate case, Oglesby has also been charged with engaging in cocaine conspiracy and possession of cocaine for resale.

Officials confirmed Oglesby had a previous drug possession conviction.

Oglesby was being held in jail in lieu of a $925,000 bond.
