A man has been charged with attempted criminal homicide in the stabbing of a victim inside an apartment.

Authorities confirmed 41-year-old Ralph Martin, Jr. was charged in the stabbing that critically injured 24-year-old Austin Stuck inside an apartment in the 1000 block of Russell Street on November 12.

Detectives said Martin admitted to the stabbing and to taking the victim’s credit card and using it at an area convenience store.

Martin had been in jail since Thursday on unrelated charges. He’s also a registered ex-convict for burglary.

Martin has had seven aggravated burglary and five felony theft convictions. He was being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
