A man was taken into custody overnight following an intense standoff in east Nashville.

The incident happened Monday night in the 1100 block of Boscobel Street.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said officers were trying to serve 24-year-old Keanthony Williams with several outstanding warrants.

Williams had been wanted for aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and aggravated assault.

Officers tried to arrest him earlier in the day, but he was able to flee. They later got a tip that he was hiding inside a home on Boscobel Street.

Once on the scene, police said they asked everyone inside the home to come out.

Flash bangs were deployed before the SWAT team eventually came through the back of the home.

The homeowner, Tracy Cox, claimed she didn't know Williams was there. She said her son is friends with Williams, but claimed she hasn't seen him in two days.

"[We] waited outside until 2:30 [a.m.]," she said. "He was in the basement hiding and they got him."

Williams was found hiding in the crawl space under the house. He has yet to get booked into Metro jail.
