A suspect was taken into custody after officers witnessed an alleged drug deal in an Antioch parking lot.
The incident was reported Tuesday night at the Bell Forge Square shopping center on Mount View Road in Antioch.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, detectives watched a drug deal take place and then went to confront the suspect.
That person, identified as Randrell Cason, was reportedly spotted with a baggy of drugs and was walking in between two cars.
He fled when officers questioned him but was arrested after a short police chase.
Cason now faces felony drug charges and evading arrest.
Officers said 12 and a half grams of cocaine and more than 5 grams of heroin were found during the investigation.
The person who met the suspect for the drugs, identified as Jermon Potter, was also arrested for two felonies.
