A man has been taken into custody following a standoff south of Nashville.
The incident was first reported around 11 p.m. Sunday at a residence on Claiborne Street.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said Marcus Beasley was taken into custody after an intense domestic situation that lasted for hours.
According to investigators, his girlfriend called 911 and said that she feared for her life.
Officers arrived on the scene and tried to make contact with him but were unable to do so. At that point, they saw the lights go out and set up a perimeter.

The SWAT team was deployed after Beasley allegedly barricaded himself inside the home and held his girlfriend hostage.
Police received yet another call from the girlfriend. She apparently owned a phone that only make calls to 911.
Authorities later forced their way into the home shortly before 5 a.m. and found Beasley and his girlfriend inside a bedroom. At the time of his arrest, Beasley was not armed.
As Beasley was being taken into custody, he could be heard yelling at officers.
